1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 (3 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (1 pound) package powdered sugar, sifted
1 to 2 tablespoons milk

Combine butter and cream cheese; blend until smooth. Stir in vanilla, mixing well. Stir in powdered sugar. Beat frosting until creamy. Makes enough frosting for 1 ten inch tube cake. Serve with Red Velvet Pound Cake.
